Bring health sacrificing skills, and get close to doppleganger.. his ranged attack does a lot more damage than this melee.

#1 dont overuse the smileys, they are already overworked, #2 bring sac skills and awaken the blood and he shall kill himself just dont bring blood renewal...and bring ss just use ss on him and wait..worked like a charm for me

lol ya i do have it i broght a few dmg + skills with scrofice and ss and he wasted himself tho he did use ss on me b4 i did on him

I'm also trying to ascend, and as an MM with only two or three sacrifice skills I am finding this almost impossible

I went back to play wif that guy after ascended. put only 2 skils: SS+ price failure. consider u dont have SS....price failure +empathy+backfire+ awaken + sacrifice skills should get the job done.

i used only Dark Pact, Awaken the Blood and Distortion. The only spell i needed to cast was Distortion to make sure he hits me less in melee so he killed himself with Dark Pact. I ascended from the first try and in 14 seconds. Dark Pact is easy to find at the begining of the game i think (pre-seering?), Awaken the blood the same. Distortion can be bought from Augury Rock, same as Illusion of Weeknes which makes his hp even lower in the beginning of the battle

I brought Awaken The Blood and all sacrifice skills that do not cause damage to me, the only attack skill I brought was Dark Pact, which sacrifices health. I stood next to him and danced until he was really low on health and used Dark Pact on him, one attack and he was defeated in 34 seconds. Beating the Necro Doppleganger is a cinch.

lol .. i could not dance as this is my secondary account and i just needed a fast leveling, haven`t brought Drok`s armor, had preseering armor on me and he was dealing 150 damage to me in melee. So i beat the guy with no golden cent spent

I ascended my N recently. but I have to say that the sacrifice skill trick didn't work for me. I even had Awaken the Blood with me. I think they made the doppleganger smarter by not using all of them at a time unless those skills are useful at the moment.
As you are a Me secondary, why not use Me skills. I ascended my Me/R 4-5 days ago in less than 5 seconds without even doing anything. Just have backfire and put it to the END of your skill bar. and put all the first 7 with enchantment skills you have. Make sure to cast backfire on doppleganger as soon as you enter the chamber and then "/dance"

Don't use blood renewal though. helps even if shattered.

I agree with fellow posters saying about using your mesmer skils. What I did was simple I'd put all atributes points into mesmers than loaded the skill bar with just few useless skills plus essential the backfire and empathy.
Fast as the fight starts I cast backfire and empathy and watch him kill himself. Using a combo like that kills the doppe in less than 50 sec.
